A full range of construction materials testing and equipment calibration is carried out by MateriaLab. One of the largest laboratories in the region, MateriaLab is accredited by HOKLAS (Hong Kong Laboratory Accreditation Scheme) for over 600 test items and by HKIAS (Hong Kong Inspection Body Accreditation Scheme) in a number of different areas. This accreditation also encompasses field testing of construction materials and the operation of on-site laboratories such as the materials testing facility at Chek Lap Kok airport site which employed over 300 staff.
